We are one of Victoria’s leading providers of aged and community services and retirement options across metropolitan Melbourne and Regional Victoria.
Our services and programs are defined by high standards of care and compassion. Fundamental to this quality is the support we receive from our volunteers. Our volunteers provide a vital link to help keep our residents and clients active and connected to the community.
What are the Volunteer opportunities?
There are many and varied volunteering opportunities available at SCC (Vic) and you can choose an area that is best suited to your interests or skills and the time you have available. The choice is extensive but may include:
- Allied health (eg assisting with personal care duties)
- Better health programs (lead an exercise group)
- One on one regular friendly visits providing companionship
- Leading group activities (craft, bingo, music therapy, trivia, newspaper discussions)
- Singing and performing
- Gardening
- Administration (organize an event, answer telephones, contribute to a newsletter)
- Fundraising activities
- Transportation (including bus driving) outings, events or even shopping
- Assist at the local Op Shop
- Mentor or skill Transfer for SCC (Vic) Managers
