SCC (Vic) has a strong commitment to education and learning for staff across all levels of the Organisation.
We know a strong education and learning program will enhance the level of service we can provide to clients and residents. We offer staff opportunities to develop skills and knowledge essential to their jobs and to develop to their full potential so they can pursue career advancement or change career direction.
Structured on-the-job training is supported by coaching and buddy shifts.
Classroom training is provided in best practice and professional development topics as diverse as infection control, manual handling, medication management, first aid, case management, mental health, understanding dementia, time management and leadership development programs. Staff are also supported to attend a wide variety of conferences to enhance skills and knowledge.
